The 11th Annual We Are Family Day celebration with the Seattle Mariners is 18 days away. We Are Family Day celebrates foster, kinship and adoptive families, and the people who support them. We would love to have you join us on Sunday, May 19. There is still time to purchase tickets and join us in celebrating caregivers. First Pitch Youth Has Been Selected
The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) received over 25 nominations for the first pitch on We Are Family Day. Each of the nominations highlighted the unique story of a child or youth who has been touched by foster care. To all of those who made a nomination, please accept our sincere thanks. We appreciate your investment, time, thoughtfulness, and the love and care you provide for our kids and families.

We also are excited to tell you about the young person who will be throwing the first pitch at We Are Family. This young person received three separate nominations from different people! We will tell you more about him as We Are Family day approaches.
