Hello, As we all know the foster care system here in Washington is critically short on homes for our youth. The ratio DCFS uses is for every 1 child in foster care there needs to be 3.5 foster homes to find a suitable placement. If there is currently 9,000+ Youth in care there needs to be a minimum of 31,5000 homes and we all know the number of homes is no where near that. Coupled with a 22% increase in kids in care you can really see how staggering the problem is an will become in the future. Bellow is a article from Brian Flores which highlights these staggering needs. Click here to read the news articleTake care, Nathan
